Yesterday, I woke up and meandered to the gym, on the train ride there, I dozed off and decided that it was not going to be very productive day at the gym.
I started walking on the treadmill, all of a sudden I was walking fast! then I was walking fast at a high incline, before I knew it I was doing bursts of sprints and 45 minutes later I was a glorious, sweaty disaster. Love it when that happens.
But today my hips were SUPER tight. I needed yoga stat!
Breakfast was a cookie. You may recall I recently licked my peanut butter jar clean and I haven’t gotten a chance to get another one! I’m not really digging almond butter right now, but it’s all I have and I need a good amount of fat in my breakfast in order for it to stick to my ribs throughout the morning. So I hid the almond butter inside of a breakfast cookie with a side of greek yogurt and flaxseed.
Breakfast Cookie:
- 1/3 c. rolled oats
- 1/2 mashed banana
- 1 tbsp. almond butter
- 1 tbsp. shredded, unsweetened coconut
- 2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- chopped almonds
- splash of almond milk
I went to a yoga class at noon lead by one of my favorite teachers, he’s so funny and I love his classes. That man loves his 10 count push-ups (slowly lower for 10 counts, slowly push back up for 10 counts) glorious. 50 minutes and I was dripping with sweat. It wasn’t even a hot class!
That class was shorter than I’m used to and it really sparked a craving for more yoga, so as soon as I hit publish, I’m heading to a 75-minute hot class. My cravings demand to be satisfied!
m m mmmm cant feel guilty about having that kind of a cookie for breakfast
